MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama baseball team broke a school single-game record for runs scored during its doubleheader sweep of Eastern Illinois Saturday at Stanky Field.
Three USA (2-0) hurlers combined for a one-hit shutout in USA's 32-0 game-two win in Saturday's twinbill to earn the sweep following an 8-2 win in game one. The Jaguars' 32 runs broke the 2013 squad's previous record of runs scored (29 vs. New Orleans) in a game.
USA will go for the series sweep in Sunday's series finale, which is scheduled for a 1 p.
