MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama baseball team swept a doubleheader from Georgia Southern Friday at Stanky Field to clinch the three-game Sun Belt Conference series.
South Alabama (20-13, 9-4 SBC) won the series opener 9-6, and clinched the series with an 8-1 victory in game two of Friday's twinbill.
USA will return to action Sunday at 1 p.m. when it hosts Georgia Southern (16-18, 8-5 SBC) in the series finale at Stanky Field.
