MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama baseball team split a Sun Belt Conference East Division doubleheader with No. 19 Coastal Carolina Saturday at Stanky Field.
USA jumped out to a 4-0 lead through two innings in the series opener, but CCU scored nine unanswered runs over the final seven frames for a 9-4 win in game one. South Alabama (14-16, 4-7 Sun Belt) rebounded for an 8-4 win in game two to force a Sunday rubber match at 11:30 a.m. at Stanky Field.
