JAGS SPLIT DOUBLEHEADER ON DAY ONE AT MSU

STARKVILLE, Miss. – The University of South Alabama baseball team split a doubleheader Friday at Dudy Noble Field in Starkville, Miss. USA defeated Columbia in game one before falling to Mississippi State in the nightcap.

South Alabama scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning to break a 1-1 tie en route to a 4-1 win over Columbia in game one of Friday's doubleheader.

Brendan Donovan led off the top of the ninth with a single to right field, and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Jared Barnes.
