MOBILE, Ala. | South Alabama placed a league-high 17 players on the 2023 Athlon Sports All-Sun Belt Team announced this week. The Jags led all teams with the selections followed by James Madison (12), Troy (11), Coastal Carolina (10), Marshall (nine), and Georgia State (nine).
South Alabama placed three on the First Team led by returning all-conference performer at running back La'Damian Webb who finished the season with 1,090 yards on 209 carries despite missing parts of two games, He scored 13 touchdowns on the ground and added another two receiving touchdowns.
