LAFAYETTE, La. – The fourth-seeded University of South Alabama baseball fell to No. 1 seed Coastal Carolina 16-4 Thursday in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament at Russo Park.
CCU (40-17) homered three times and recorded 17 hits in the game to advance to the SBC Tournament semifinal round on Saturday.
South Alabama (31-24) will return to action Fri., May 25, when it faces No. 5 Georgia Southern at 3 p.m. in an SBC Tournament elimination game.
