MOBILE, Ala. – After falling behind 31-7, South Alabama Football fought to put itself in position to make a comeback, but could not execute in key moments late as Louisiana held on to win, 31-22, Saturday night at Hancock Whitney Stadium.
The loss dropped the Jaguars to 2-7 on the season with a 1-4 record in Sun Belt Conference play.

- Facing a 10-0 deficit in the second quarter, the Jags went on a methodical 16-play, 84-yard drive to pull within three. Keenan Phillips scored on a 15-yard touchdown run to get South on the scoreboard.
