JAGS FALL AT TULANE IN FINAL NON-CONFERENCE GAME

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning, and added a four runs in the eighth to defeat the University of South Alabama baseball team 11-7 Tuesday at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium.

Tulane (30-19-1) jumped out to a 4-0 lead after the first inning, and held a 7-1 lead through five innings before South Alabama (27-20) scored six runs in the top of the sixth, aided by a Miles Simington grand slam, to tie the score 7-7. But the Green Wave plated four runs in the bottom of the eighth to secure the win.
