MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama volleyball team opened practice for the 2017 season Tuesday at Jag Gym. USA went through a two-hour workout, and will cap day one with a team scrimmage.
"The benefit is they (team) have been here for summer school and have been working with our strength and conditioning staff, so everyone is in good shape," USA head coach Amy Hendrichovsky said. "They've been practicing, with the captains running practice, so we're starting at a good base – a higher base than had they been off all summer. For now, we're going to focus a lot on teaching some systems and incorporating the freshmen into our system.
