NEW ORLEANS – The University of South Alabama volleyball team dropped a pair of matches against Tulane Saturday at Hertz Center to open the 2017 season.
USA (0-2) fell to Tulane (3-1) in five sets (25-16, 13-25, 25-22, 18-25, 7-15) in the first match of the day. The Green Wave defeated the Jaguars in straight sets (28-30, 16-25, 22-25) in the final match of the afternoon. South Alabama will return to action next weekend when it hosts the Jaguar Invitatiional at Jag Gym, beginning with a 6 p.m. match against Alabama on Fri., Sept. 1.
