NEW ORLEANS – University of South Alabama junior outfielder Brittani Reid was named the Community Coffee Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week on Tuesday after helping the Jaguars record a 4-1 record over the weekend at the Mardi Gras Invitational.
Reid's player of the week selection – the first of her career – marks the 17th offensive player honor and the 40th total conference weekly award selection in program history.
Reid had an outstanding week at the plate as she was 9-for-18 (.500) at the plate with two doubles, three walks, three steals and seven runs scored from the Jaguar leadoff.
