NEW ORLEANS – Following a record-breaking performance in the final University of South Alabama football game of the 2018 season, Tra Minter was named the Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday as announced by the league office.
In posting the first 100-yard effort of his career in the Jaguars' 31-28 victory over Coastal Carolina on Friday, Minter set a new school mark with 203 yards on 24 carries — an average of 8.5 yards per attempt — while adding two receptions for another 49 yards; his career-high 252 all-purpose yards were the fourth-highest total in a contest in the program's record books.
