MOBILE, Ala. – Louisiana scored touchdowns on each of its first two possessions and was up 20 points less than 20 minutes into play, but had to withstand a rally by the University of South Alabama to hold on for a 20-18 Sun Belt Conference football win Saturday at Hancock Whitney Stadium.

The Ragin Cajuns (4-1, 2-0 Sun Belt) rushed for 225 yards against a Jaguar defense that was allowing just over 55 yards per contest entering play, with Emani Bailey posting 81 yards, Levi Lewis 61, Montrell Johnson 49 and Chris Smith 40.
