Jacksonville State uses four-run seventh to even series

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. | Jacksonville State evened the series with South Alabama after coming away with a 4-0 victory over the Jags at Rudy Abbott Field at Jim Case Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Jacksonville State (5-10) used a four-run seventh inning to pull away for the win.

Gehrig Conard started and went six innings scattering six hits and striking out nine, with no walks allowed on the day. He gave way to Zach Willingham (2-1) in the seventh who gave up the game's first run on a pair of walks and a double, before a run scored on a Sam Knowlton wild pitch.
