GSU TAKES SERIES OPENER FROM JAG BASEBALL

ATLANTA – Georgia State hit three home runs and overcame a three-run deficit to defeat the University of South Alabama baseball team 10-8 in Friday's series opener at GSU Baseball Complex.

GSU (16-10, 5-2 SBC) trailed 5-2 after 4 1/2 innings before plating four runs in the bottom of the fifth to take a 6-5 lead. The Panthers then added two runs in the sixth and a pair of runs in the seventh to secure the win in the opening game of the three-game series.
