MORGANTOWN, W.V. – University of South Alabama baseball right-handed pitcher Zach Greene was named Second-Team All-America by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association on Wednesday.
He became South Alabama's 31st All-American with his selection by the NCBWA, and was one of just two Sun Belt Conference pitchers (Andrew Gross, UT-Arlington) to be recognized by the national organization. Greene was recently selected by the New York Yankees in the eighth round (255th overall pick) of the 2019 Major League Baseball Draft.
Greene, a 2019 First-Team All-Sun Belt Conference selection, ranked second in the Sun Belt in saves (13) this season while finishing 2-0 with a 1.
