MONROE, La. | Sarah Gooch posted her third 20-kill match of the season to lead South Alabama to a 3-1 (23-25, 26-24, 25-21, 25-18) victory and held the Jaguars remain undefeated in Sun Belt Conference play Saturday afternoon at Fant-Ewing Coliseum.
With the win, South Alabama (9-6, 4-0 SBC) extended its win streak to four matches. Gooch led all players with 22 kills as the junior also posted a .465 hitting percentage, committing just two attack errors. In her 66 offensive opportunities in the series, Gooch committed just two errors. The Apopka, Fla., native also posted her first career double-double in the win as she recorded a career-high 11 digs.
