MILWAUKEE | The South Alabama duo of Sarah Gooch and Cambria Gaier combined for 32 kills as the Jaguars picked up their first win of the season with a 3-1 (25-16, 14-25, 25-18, 25-22) victory over Central Michigan on Friday at the Panther Invitational held at the Klotsche Center.
Gooch finished with a match-high 20 kills as the junior outside hitter also had eight digs and hit .381. Gaier had 12 kills of her own, and added two aces and four blocks (two solo – two assists), while posting a .370 attack percentage. Dalayla Blackwell nearly reached double figures as the redshirt sophomore had nine kills and three block assists.
