NEW ORLEANS – University of South Alabama junior Hannah Godfrey was voted the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Godfrey is the first Jaguar to win the defensive weekly honor this season, and she wins the award for the second time in her career.
The Thornton-Cleveleys, England native anchored a defense that allowed just one goal in the Jags' unbeaten weekend. She played all 200 minutes and helped South Alabama pick up its first clean sheet of the season.
