BATON ROUGE, La. – Olivier Gringas kicked of the ITA Southern Regional Championships with a victory in the second round of qualifying on Thursday.
SINGLES
-Olivier Gingras took down Mississippi State's Hunter Harrison 6-4, 6-2.
NOTES
-Gingras will take on Samford's Max Rebol at 9 a.m. on Friday in qualifying finals to reach the main draw.
-Loic Cloes, Clement Marzol and Lucas Gonzalez will begin singles action in the main draw on Saturday, as will South's two doubles pairings of Cloes/Marzol and Gingras/Gonzalez.
