GEORGIA SOUTHERN SHUTS DOWN JAG FOOTBALL SATURDAY

STATESBORO, Ga. – Wesley Fields and L.A. Ramsby each scored two touchdowns Saturday to lead Georgia Southern to a 52-0 Sun Belt Conference football victory over the University of South Alabama at Allen E. Paulson Stadium.

Ramsby's two scores capped the first three drives for the Eagles (1-9, 1-5 Sun Belt), who finished with 583 yards of total offense and 26 first downs in their final home game of the 2017 season. Shai Werts accounted for 220 yards — 113 rushing, 107 passing — and two touchdowns, while Fields ended up with 64 yards on the ground as GS averaged over five yards a carry while posting 356 rushing yards.
