FOURTH QUARTER RALLY PROPELS WOMEN’S BASKETBALL PAST APP STATE

MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama women's basketball team (13-5, 6-1 SBC) powered past the Appalachian State Mountaineers (5-13, 3-4 SBC), 54-52, with a fourth-quarter rally to win its fourth game in-a-row and remain undefeated at home in conference play on Saturday at the Mitchell Center. The Jaguar win ended the Mountaineers' three-game win streak.

Chyna Ellis stepped for USA after her historic night on Thursday. The senior center recorded a team-high 13 points, on a 6-of-11 shooting night, and eight rebounds. She also rejected three shots and collected a steal and a helper.
