Former UAB offensive coordinator Les Koenning is one of two assistants being added to Southern Miss' staff, according to a report.
The Hattiesburg American, citing sources, reports the Golden Eagles are expected to hire Koenning and young Brock Hays.
Koenning spent the past two seasons as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at UAB and has also served as offensive coordinator at Alabama, South Alabama, Mississippi State and Texas A&M.
In what capacity Koenning will coach is unknown at this point.
In January, AL.com reported Koenning's contract wouldn't be renewed by UAB.
