Former Alabama basketball player Andrew Steele has been hired as director of basketball operations at Troy, the school announced Wednesday.
The 28-year-old Steele was on staff at South Alabama the last two years, first as a graduate assistant and then as DBO. He was not retained when Jaguars coach Matthew Graves was fired at the end of the 2017-18 season.
"We're thrilled to add Andrew to our staff as the director of operations," Troy coach Phil Cunningham said. "He caught my eye a long time ago as a high school prospect playing for the Alabama Challenge AAU team when I was an assistant coach trying to recruit him at Mississippi State.
