EUGENE, Ore. – The University of South Alabama's senior Autavia Fluker advanced to the final round of the hammer throw at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials on Thursday afternoon at the Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
Fluker recorded the tenth-best throw among 23 competitors in the event with a mark of 67.81m on her first attempt. She was one of two collegians to advance to the final round of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials.
The senior will return to the field on Saturday to compete in the finals at 6:05 p.m. (C.T.) at the Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
