Florida high school kicker Frankie Onate announced Monday night he will play football at South Alabama.
Onate, from small-school powerhouse Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville, Fla., will be a walk-on for the Jaguars. He also drew interest from Bowling Green, Jacksonville State, Army and Florida, according to his profile on ChrisSailerKicking.com.

Onate made 8 of 13 field goals in 2016, including a 52-yarder in a 24-13 win over Chaminade-Madonna Prep in the FHSAA Class 3A state championship game.
