FIVE-RUN THIRD PROVES PIVOTAL AS JAGUAR SOFTBALL COMPLETES THE SBC ROAD SWEEP

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Abby Krzywiecki and Kamdyn Kvistad homered to ignite a five-run third as the University of South Alabama softball team held on and completed the Sun Belt Conference road sweep of No. 18 Texas State with a 7-4 victory Sunday afternoon at Bobcat Softball Stadium.

The trio of Kvistad (3), Krzywiecki (2) and Cronan (2) combined to drive in all seven of the runs for the Jaguars.

Kaitlyn Hughes tossed 1.1 innings of scoreless relief and picked up the win to improve to 2-1 on the season, while Olivia Lackie struck out five in her three innings of work to pick up her third save of the spring.
