EARLY STRIKE SETS TONE AS SOCCER DEFEATS GEORGIA STATE

MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama graduate Chloe McGlade scored just 5:07 into the contest and the defense held Georgia State to just two shots on goal in a 3-0 victory Sunday afternoon at The Cage.

The Jaguars are unbeaten in their last five games and go to 8-2-2 overall and 3-0-1 in the Sun Belt Conference. The Panthers fall to 4-6-1 and 1-2.

GAME FACTS
- Freshman Gracie Wilson fed McGlade in the left channel between two defenders just outside the box and McGlade beat Kendra Clarke to the far post
- Just under 20 minutes later, a cross by McGlade from the left wing found Briana Morris in the six-yard box, who headed it in off the post and Clarke
- Wilson got open in the box in the 29th minute, but put her attempt straight at the goalkeeper
- Senior Justice Stanford kept it a 2-0 contest in the 54th minute when she stopped Jimena Cabrero's penalty attempt
- Thanks to a pass from sophomore Tilly Wilkes, sophomore Moa Öhman was able to elude Clarke and walk the ball into the net at 83:54
