South Alabama quarterback Cole Garvin did not practice Tuesday and is not expected to play Saturday vs. Alabama A&M, leaving Dallas Davis as the likely starter for the Jaguars.
Davis replaced an injured Garvin following USA's first possession in last Friday's 44-7 loss to Oklahoma State. Garvin was out of a walking boot Tuesday, but wasn't able to do much in practice, Jaguars head coach Joey Jones said.
"He didn't practice today," Jones said. "It doesn't look good for him playing this week. He probably won't play. We're going to go with Dallas (as the starter), and Evan (Orth) as the back-up.
