Cyclones’ Balanced Attack Hands Jags Three-Set Loss

MILWAUKEE | Iowa State used a balanced offensive attack as five players had five or more kills in its 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-15) win over South Alabama on Saturday at the Panther Invitational held at the Klotsche Center.

The Cyclones (4-0) were led offensively by Alea Goolsby's 13 kills, while Maya Duckworth had 10 kills on 14 attacks and didn't commit an error for a .714 hitting percentage. As a team, Iowa State held a .351 - .091 advantage in attack percentage.

Sarah Gooch led South Alabama (1-2) with eight kills, while Dalayla Blackwell had six kills of her own.
