CROSS LEADS SOCCER TO THIRD STRIAGHT VICTORY AT APPALACHIAN STATE

BOONE, N.C. – Senior Morgan Cross led the University of South Alabama women's soccer team to its third straight victory, 2-1, over Appalachian State Thursday night at Ted Mackorell Soccer Stadium.

Cross led the match with one goal and one assist in the 2-1 conference victory for South Alabama (7-3-1, 3-1-1 SBC). The senior midfielder was assisted by Claudia Gutierrez in the first half before she gave an assist of her own to Gracie Wilson in the second half. The Jaguars' back line, led by freshman Kate Nicolson, held Appalachian State (4-6-1, 0-4-0 SBC) to three shots and one corner during the match while allowing their team to take 12 shots and four corners.
