Cole Garvin will start at quarterback for South Alabama on Wednesday at Troy, Jaguars coach Joey Jones said Monday.
Garvin missed two games and most of another earlier this year due to a sprained ankle suffered early in a loss to Oklahoma State on Sept. 8. The redshirt junior returned Sept. 30 against Louisiana Tech, passing for 235 yards and a touchdown with an interception.
Dallas Davis started in Garvin's absence, but re-aggravated a shoulder injury that required offseason surgery during the Jaguars' Sept. 23 loss to Idaho. He sat out against Louisiana Tech, but returned to practice last week.
