MOBILE, Ala. – Coastal Carolina took advantage of short fields and turnovers to defeat South Alabama, 38-20, Saturday night at Hancock Whitney Stadium.
The Jaguars fell to 1-3 overall and 0-1 in Sun Belt Conference play in defeat.
KEY MOMENTS
- After a scoreless first quarter, PJ Martin rushed the ball from the 38 to the three-yard line, but fumbled it into the end zone. Anthony Eager jumped on the fumble to secure the touchdown and give the Jags a 7-0 lead.
- Coastal responded with a touchdown, but Kentrel Bullock converted a key fourth-down from the two-yard line by punching in a touchdown to give the Jags a 14-7 lead going into the halftime break.
