Auburn offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey attempted to put to rest rumors that have linked him to the coaching vacancy at South Alabama.
Following Auburn's 28-7 loss to Georgia in the SEC Championship Game, Lindsey was asked if he was committed to being the Tigers' offensive coordinator next season.
"Sure, yeah," Lindsey said. "Definitely."
AL.com reported earlier in the week that Lindsey has expressed interest in the head coaching position at South Alabama, where Joey Jones resigned after nine seasons with the Jaguars.
Lindsey was asked last weekend about the rumors linking him to the opening, and he declined to comment, saying he was focused on Auburn's shot at the SEC title.
