FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Sophomore cross country runner Andonet Cheruiyot continued her outstanding fall as she placed 18th Saturday morning in the women's 5k at the 30th Annual Chile Pepper Festival to lead the University of South Alabama women to a top 10 finish. The Jaguar men also recorded a top 20 showing placing 16th in the 8k race held at Agri Park.
Cheruiyot recorded a new personal best in the distance with a time of 17:58.4, while Carolien Millenaar recorded a 32nd-place finish with a time of 18:06.3 which was one second shy of matching her personal best in the 5k race.
