UAB's basketball team does not have much time to lick its wounds after letting Saturday's conference opener against Middle Tennessee slip away.
The Blazers (9-5, 0-1 Conference USA) are about to play back-to-back league games at South Florida destinations where they have not enjoyed a ton of success. They have split four games at Thursday's opponent, Florida Atlantic (6-7, 0-1) and are 1-3 at Florida International (7-7, 1-0), where they will play on Saturday.
"This was a war and a battle," UAB coach Robert Ehsan said on postgame radio following the 63-60 loss to MTSU.
