Bryant Vincent is out after two-plus seasons as South Alabama's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, the school announced Monday.
The move comes two days after the Jaguars lost 29-23 in double overtime at home to Idaho, dropping their record to 1-3 this season. South Alabama ranks ninth in the 12-team Sun Belt Conference in total offense.
"Sunday afternoon Coach Vincent came to me and expressed concern about our current status and what is best for our program moving forward. After meeting with him, a decision was made to relieve him of his duties," head coach Joey Jones said in a release issued by the school.
