BELL PITCHES JAGS TO SERIES-OPENING WIN OVER LITTLE ROCK

MOBILE, Ala. – Jaguar right-hander Randy Bell turned in a quality start to lead the University of South Alabama baseball team to an 8-3 series-opening win over Little Rock Friday at Stanky Field.

Bell (5-3) allowed three runs on nine hits with six strikeouts and a pair of walks in 6 1/3 innings to earn the win. Jaguar right-hander Matt Peacock tossed 2 2/3 scoreless innings and allowed just one hit while striking out three to record his seventh save of the season. Trojan right-hander Ryan LeMoine (2-5) allowed five runs on seven hits with five strikeouts and two walks in four innings pitched in the loss.
