AUBURN BREAKS OPEN GAME IN FOURTH TO DEFEAT SOUTH WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

MOBILE, Ala. – After the University of South Alabama took its final lead midway through the third quarter on Wednesday, Auburn went on a 23-2 run to pull away for a 82-62 non-conference women's basketball victory over the Jaguars at the Mitchell Center.

Brooke Moore scored 20 points to lead four Tigers in double figures, with Unique Thompson contributing 15 points and 10 rebounds while Daisa Alexander and Erin Howard each pitched in with 14. AU (4-4) shot 53.3 percent from the field for the game, including making 12-of-24 attempts from three-point range.

Shaforia Kines paced the Jags (3-5) with 18 points, while Damaya Telemaque added 15 on 6-of-7 shooting from the floor.
