With Hurricane Nate lurking in the Gulf of Mexico, South Alabama was able to squeeze in a final pre-storm practice on Saturday morning in preparation for Wednesday's game at Troy.

Nate is expected to make landfall late Saturday or early Sunday, and South Alabama has closed its campus through Monday. Head coach Joey Jones said players who have family nearby can travel home prior to the storm if they wish, with their next practice tentatively set for Monday.

"We told them if they're going to go home, to go right now. Obviously no traveling tonight or tomorrow," Jones said.
