After a strong baseball performance this summer, Mobile Christian junior catcher Ethan Hearn is quickly becoming a major recruiting target.
Hearn was offered by both Alabama and Mississippi State in recent weeks. That followed an earlier offer from South Alabama.
Leopards' coach Talley Haines also said North Carolina and Vanderbilt are among the other teams interested in signing Hearn.
"Ethan has tremendous physical ability," Haines said. "He has plenty of arm strength and athleticism, and his bat has a lot of power. Those are all keys for a catcher obviously."
This summer, Hearn was one of 40 players in the nation to be selected for the 17-and-under USA National Team Development Program in Chicago.
