AJAYI SCORES 20, MEN’S BASKETBALL HOLDS OFF ALABAMA A&M

MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama junior Josh Ajayi scored 16 of his game-high 20 points in the second half and junior Trhae Mitchell was an assist shy of a triple-double as the Jaguars came back from a slow start to defeat Alabama A&M 79-67 Wednesday night at the Mitchell Center.

Ajayi went 7 for 7 from the floor after halftime, and Mitchell posted 11 points, 13 rebounds and nine assists, in addition to four blocks and steals apiece.

AAMU (0-10) jumped out to a 19-12 lead early and used an 8-0 run to start the second half to take a one-point lead.
