South Alabama lost its first two games by a total of 57 points, but that didn't keep the Jaguars from seeing positives in a pair of season-opening defeats against Power 5 opponents.
After dropping games to Ole Miss and Oklahoma State, USA (0-2) takes a major step backward in competition this week. The Jaguars welcome Alabama A&M (0-2) to Ladd-Peebles Stadium for a 6 p.m. kickoff on Saturday.
"I wish [the game] was tomorrow," South Alabama coach Joey Jones said Monday. "We've got some work to do this week. I told our team that it's all about Alabama A&M this week and we have to be prepared.
