South Alabama hosts Presbyterian in non-conference action Saturday night at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
The Jaguars (4-5) are two wins away from bowl-eligibility with three to play. South Alabama had a bye last week, having lost to Louisiana-Monroe 42-35 in overtime last time out.
"It always hurts to have a bye week (after you) lose, because you think about that the whole time," linebacker Darrell Songy said. "On top of having to drive all the way there and all the way back. But I would say the bye week gave us a chance to get healthy and get our minds back together, become closer as a team and not have to regroup really fast.
