Barcelona boss Xavi Hernández spoke to the media on Sunday to preview Monday’s crucial La Liga clash against Real Sociedad at the Montjuïc Olympic Stadium as Barça look to reclaim second place ahead of the final three games of the season.
But the coach had to answer many questions that weren’t about the game as the club approaches a busy summer that could bring a squad revolution in the transfer window as well as international commitments for many of the players in the current group.
Xavi spoke about his Spanish stars and the possibility of them playing two international competitions, and also made a pretty strong indication that the club will focus on signing a new defensive midfielder in the summer.
