Xavi Simons falls into the money trap

He has Carles Puyol’s hair, Xavi’s name, Johan Cruyff’s nationality but unfortunately, Neymar’s brain. On Tuesday morning, La Masia talent Xavi Simons announced he will ditch FC Barcelona to join Paris Saint-Germain, signing his first professional contract that will run until 2022.

The 16-year-old teenager with a bizarre and unhealthy amount of followers on his social media accounts has picked an institution built on money over one which will set the stones to becoming a world class footballer. I am not saying his move to PSG will dent his career, but it goes without saying that Barcelona is the club every footballer would desire to grow and succeed at, especially when Simons has been there for nine years now.
