Xavi has offered his opinion on Barcelona and the Champions League and has told his former club not to become obsessed by winning the European Cup.
The legendary midfielder won the tournament four times with the Catalan giants, but they have failed to taste success in the competition since his last victory in 2015.
Barcelona have seen recent seasons overshadowed by their failures in Europe, but Xavi reckons becoming fixated on the Champions League is not good for the club.
“I don’t think the Champions League should be an obsession for Barcelona, It should simply be seen as a challenge, a goal, but nothing more than that.
