World Cup winning manager: “Coaching Messi would give me more joy than any title”

Luiz Felipe Scolari has stated that his admiration for Lionel Messi is such that he would get more joy out of coaching him than the happiness he felt for winning any title in his illustrious career.

The current Cruzeiro coach has won the FIFA World Cup, the Confederations Cup, the Brazilian league and cup, the Copa Libertadores twice, and the Asian Champions League among many other titles.

“I always say that my unrealized wishes were coaching Diego Maradona and Messi. I would have liked to share experiences with Maradona, apart from the fact that I was able to manage great players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldo, or Luís Figo, who were fantastic,” Scolari said.
