Not exactly the kind of news any Manchester United fan would love to hear that too on a match day. If reports from the Guardian are to believed then, Wayne Rooney is set to miss Saturday’s huge clash against arch rivals Liverpool with a hamstring injury.
The report states that the United captain was not with the rest of the squad when they checked into the Lowry Hotel in Salford on Friday. Rooney had felt felt tightness at the back of one of his leg during United’s last training session. There are however unconfirmed reports that the 29 year old would undergo a late fitness test before the game.
