The veteran forward will not miss any time after only receiving a warning for her comments regarding the referee in the U.S.'s 2-0 win over Colombia.
United States’ forward Abby Wambach has managed to avoid suspension for her critical comments of the match referee in the U.S.'s 2-0 victory over Colombia.
In a statement released Thursday, FIFA announced it warned Wambach, but would not sideline the veteran for any length of time.
Wambach took issue with the decisions of French referee Stephanie Frappert, who handed out yellow cards to Lauren Holiday and Megan Rapinoe in the round of 16 win.
